Carol Jenkins was a renowned medical anthropologist who worked with sex workers, transgenders and drug users. She died in January 2008 and this blog exists to celebrate her achievements.
Carol was one of those unique people that could truly engage with people at the same time as researching them. Carol was proud of the respect she earned, and the friends she made, among gay, transgender, sex work and drug user activists. Her loss will be felt personally by some and her valubale professional inputs will be missed by many.
